Guest of Honor
Dancing With The Stars
Edyta Sliwinska

The dance with Edyta up for auction went to lucky bidder Nicoli Sarad who put down $1,000 to glide around the ballroom with the Dancing with the Stars beauty!

Inaugural Unity Ball

The event celebrates social dancing and its unifying impact on different cultures from around the world. Edyta Sliwinska's journey exemplifies this very message. We are proud to present her as our Guest of Honor. Professional dancers will be on hand (and foot) to whisk you away and provide on-the-spot instruction.

Taste culinary treats from each culture throughout the evening. Featured countries and cultures include: Czech Republic, Vienna, Argentina, Cuba, Brazil, United States and Puerto Rico. Situated on East 73rd Street, the National Bohemian Hall stands as a rare survivor of the New York social halls built in the nineteenth century. Recently renovated, the Hall's ballroom has re-emerged in a modern light, yet retains its original glory and renaissance style soaring ceilings, magnificent balconies, and grand chandeliers - the Bohemian National hall has revived its splendor for the modern social scene.

Venerable renaissance man Joseph Balaz, director of Bohemian National Hall and The Bohemian Benevolent Association Fund, was kind enough to invite the United Nations Staff 1% for Development Fund to share in a portion of the proceeds. Other participating organizations are the United Nations Ballroom Dance Club and United Nations Women's Guild.

This event is brought to you by Nathan Hescock'sNew York Partner and Wedding Dance.Proceeds from the evening benefitthe Bohemian Benevolent and Literary Fund andthe United Nations Staff 1% For Development Fund.
